Something I just want to rant about...

A random link brought me to a video regarding the infamous Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) conversing with a member of Anonymous through a web radio show. And after watching it, with plenty of giggling ensuing at how Anonymous proved that they COULD actually touch their website any damn time they pleased by (simply adding a link to one of WBC's webpages which redirected to a nice and cordial letter from the group), I clicked on a few related videos and could not believe what I was seeing.

Now I knew that they pretty much preached a bunch of hate-speech against anybody gay ot just not affiliated with their group and condemning them to Hell, but to teach that to young children and have them spout it back like it was fact...simply horrified me. And as I learned a bit more about what it was they hate (primary focus binge homosexuals, the U.S.A. armed forces as a whole, and Jews for some reason), I just felt I should point out a few things for these hate-filled bible thumpers (besides the fact that they hate gays, since they so publically say so all the damn time):

1) The Bible is a book written by the hand of man.

Now I knowthat Christians are taught that the Bible is the Word of God...but that is simply not true. It is a collection of stories written down by man when you actually look at it. And let us not forget that the Bible was originally a collection of ORAL stories passed down before it was ever in print of any kind, so certain parts or details could have easily been muddled, changed, or just left out.

But let's just say that the first-ever Bible really was sent down by the Almighty (bound in leather and all) to man. Now the origin of Christianity was in the Middle-East, and English wasn't (and still isn't) the dominant language.

Regardless of how the book came to be, it would be logical that this first the oral stories were most likely in Aramaic as well as Hebrew with the first written Bibles in Hebrew and Old English. After THESE INTERPRETATIONS, this in turn would then be translated into different languages...and we know that not EVERYTHING translates over correctly. And this process is done by man, which may decide that if there was something they didn't like or agree with, it was a simple process of either smudging up the translation or even outright omitting it EVEN FURTHER.

This holy book just isn't as reliable as one would think if you take it literally. It is better as a collection of stories to help guide your life rather than dictate it. This brings me to my next point...

2) Jesus Christ was Jewish.

Some people (and I'm looking at you, WBC) seem to forget the fact that Jesus Christ, the man, was Jewish. There was no Chrisitanity when Christ was alive. The Christian religion came about originally as a Jewish sect. The religion we know as Christianity didn't actually pop up until roughly 400 years AFTER the death (and ressurection) of Christ.

An additional bit of info is that most of the Christian holidays were originally Pagan holidays to better acclimate those from other religions to convert to Christianity (like when we celebrate Christ's birth on December 25th, though it is proven that in reality he was actually born somewhere in the summer months).

So if the WBC claims that all Jews go to Hell, they are now saying their own savior is burning in Hell for being Jewish. Good job, idiots.

3) Preaching hate begets more hate.

WBC claims that the US is evil and will burn in Hell for fighting and other ignorant shit or whatever. But to teach your children to hate and to preach it to them will only cause them to be just like you...maybe even worse once they grow up. And in addition, they cause others in society to lash out at them for being complete dickheads and they are now showing their children even more hate in the outside world. And actual Christians don't preach hate of ANY kind (though some sects may preach a bit of intolerance at worse, but they never promote hate or insensitivity). In fact, I can think of no religion who preaches a single word of hate. So whatever happened to "Love thy neighbor"? WBC are not actually Christians and should not be lumped into that catagory, as it gives Christians a bad name. And this brings me to...

4) WBC promotes child endangerment
Well, not technically, but they insist on bringing their own children to their protests and rallies...where the public have been known to try to run them out by ANY means...like smashing the windows of their passing cars, or brandishing knives at them...or fucking running them over! And their CHILDREN are in the midst of this shit!? WTF!? Why are the parents of these children bringing them into this? Because they think that if any of their number are destined to die or live, God will decide?
News flash: God won't do jack. That's like saying the Holocaust was just God's way of saying "Oops...too many Jews. Better clear off a few of them. Hey, Hitler! I got a job for ya'...".

In closing, I just want to say I'd give Scientology a try rather than deciding to even consider WBC's view on things. And Scientologists believe in an fucking intergalactic overlord called Xenu as their devil. If i had to choose between the two...bring on Xenu, bitch!
